Obviously, no one in the Hedgehog group grows or takes photos of FLOWERS. I mean like, the sun came up this morning. Our back yard is about half perennials and is named with tongue in cheek regularly as THE MAN KILLER AND THE JUNGLE.

Beautiful photos . pg 43

1st time posting! Flowers are my favorite to photography, especially as macros. The first two were shot with a canon elph, from a local farm with beautiful poppies, and the 3rd was shot with a Nikon N55 from the annual Tulip Festival in Skagit Valley a few years back. Don't quite remember the specs on that, I just hoped for the best. Now, I actually pay attention to my aperture settings and fstops!

Beautiful photos jessie .. and welcome :) .. pg 43

Here are mine for today. My sweet hubby took me down the road to take some wildflower photos, and I only took my kit lens. Wouldn't you know the flowers were up too high on the bank to get a good one.The others are from my yard and our son's yard.

GAClowers, is that the Banks Rose? pg 43

Sorry, but I do not remember the name of the rose. The name plate at the base has long ago faded. If this will help, it is a thornless bush, with thousands of small individual roses in clusters. It is a one time bloomer lasting for about a month. I planted it about 15 years ago and it is disease free. It blooms on new wood, so I cut it back severely in the fall.

Welcome to Day 153 :) Six full months !! Who would have thought. When I started this I figured a couple weeks .. maybe a month LOL boy was I wrong ... I didn't realize how much enjoyment I was going to get out of shooting daily and sharing with y'all. Three cheers for us !!!
So it's all about the Flowers today .. it's been a while since we posted any and I don't know about y'all but I could use some pretty flowers to look at for a change. For my part I wanted to do blooming cactus .. since that's pretty much all we have here. But of course nothing is blooming at the moment .. it's too hot and dry out .. so I had to go to the archives for some examples. I look forward to seeing what's blooming in your world.

Here are a few of my new photo technique. I got the tip from a magazine and just took it a few extra steps to make it my own creation.
