My children, who were young when we visited with them, loved the carousel and the steamboat.
Unfortunately, they don't seem to be running the steam boat any more. This summer, when I asked one of their "kids" {young employees at the village} about it I got a rather puzzled answer, which shortened and paraphrased, amounted to "They haven't run it in awhile, I guess; I think maintenance on it, plus the steam locomotives, just became too much".
Should be a must on every motorheads bucket list.

I've always wanted to be able to see over the walls of the proving grounds just around the corner on Outer Drive.

The pickup was sold to a buyer in Sweden.
That is a very interesting car - never seen one in North America. I first thought it was a TVR (from the rear), but didn't look quite right. I'm glad you identified it. Having owned a Spitfire, I should have noticed the trim over the seam on the top of the fenders where they are joined, which I never noticed on other British cars.

Enzo was a hard headed old school kind of guy but he did say the E-Type was the most beautiful road car ever built
The comendentore was correct.
I considered buying a 65 E-type in the mid 70s and now wish I had. I took it on a test drive, and it not only overheated (which was common on early Es), but scared the hell out of me. I got it up to just over a hundred briefly on our local beltline, came up on traffic and stood on the brakes with very little effect. Knowing the procedure involved in redoing the rear brakes (which was a nightmare), I turned it down. Mistake.
