Tom,
You are going to very disappointed, you seem to not comprehend what is going on. We are in the beginnings of a peaceful revolution, the Voters are finally realizing that the Established Political Parties and their candidates very seldom represent the Voter, and always represent the Lobbyists and the big business they represent. It is getting back to the way it was in the beginning days of this nation, taxation without representation. Trump is the outsider, He is crude at times, stretches the truth and often bends it, but he is the outsider not really beholding to any party. He is telling the Silent Majority what it wants to hear, the truth. He speaks the way we speak and doesn't come off like a prerecorded statement with shiny sparkling teeth and a glued on smile.

How do you propose that I'm going to be disappointed? The Democrats have had a peaceful revolution of their own, with Bernie versus Hillary, and the result is going to be the Election of a Hillary who is more liberal than she started out.
The Republican's failure to elect Trump, will show them that they can no longer elect at the Presidential level. The reason is this: they have alienated black, hispanic and women voters, and there aren't enough voters left to elect Republicans to that high office.
The new Republican Party, whatever it's called and whenever it shows up, will solicit black votes and hispanic votes and women's votes, competing directly with Democrats.
When the two parties compete for the same voters, we wil finally get past this divisiveness that has ruined our politics for years.
I think Bernie vs. Hillary showed some lack of awareness in Democratic political circles, and I think generally Democratic Voters are in line with the party, or the party is more in line with the voters.
i think the Republican Party has learned a lot, and the Republican voters have expressed themselves pretty clearly, as you say, but unfortunately they have nominated a hopeless and unelectable candidate. When the party turns to a more rational approach, some of the base will sit out an election or two in protest, before things settle down.
If, in all of this, the lobbyists and the business interests lose out, that will be geat. They are a pretty wiley bunch, with lots of experience and lots of money behind them; I hope for them to be gone, and won't miss them, but I'll believe it when I see it.
