Tom Brady, Quarterback of the New England Patriots was suspended for the first 4 games for the Deflategate controversy. Commissioner Roger Goodell spent millions of dollars to accomplish this suspension. He won. But no one anticipated that without Tom Brady, the Patriots would win two straight games. Winning two games was Coach Belichick's goal before the return of Tom Brady. And their next best player, Rob Gronkowski has missed two straight games. Love or hate the Patriots. They know how to win games.

Yes, Belichick does know how to win games...until he gets to the Superbowl.
I wouldn't wager much on the next two!
Hope Jimmy is back for game 4
The Patriots is one of the best run franchises in the NFL. They lose a key player, due to retirement or free agency, they always come up with a quality replacement. You cannot argue with success. Their front office knows what it is doing.
I wish I could say the same for da Bears. I could make better draft picks than that organization.
They know what they're doing, but losing the numbers one and two quarterbacks is a tough one.
The Denver Broncos are also 2-0 without Peyton Manning. The Patriots goal has already been achieved. 2 games won. And when Brady and Gronkowski return, the Patriots only expect to lose 2 of the next 12 games. That results in a regular season record of 12-4. Not bad.
Who's Tom Brady? And why should I care?
Belicheck is a good coach...love or hate him..he will find ways to win and he probably knows the rule book better than a lot of the refs.

Are you on the wrong thread or just playing the fool?

Yes, he does know the rules and he also knows how to bend them.

Which says to me perhaps Brady has seen his best days.

I guess I'm on the wrong thread. Must have stumbled onto the football thread somehow. I have better things to do than waste my time watching a bunch of grown men run around a field trying to take a ball away from each other. When 'your team' wins, what do you get out of it. You do know it's not 'your team', it's the owners teams and they are the ones who rake in millions of dollars from all you fans. So now who's the fool, fool?
The only way I can garner any interest in a sporting event is if I have some money riding on it. So a couple of years ago I wanted to give a damn about the Super Bowl so I went down to the local casino and placed a bet on the game. I didn't have any idea about either team and didn't really give a crap about them but I placed a $10 bet on the team that was considered the underdog since there was a bigger payoff if they won. And by golly, they pulled it off and kicked the favorite team's ass. Turned my $10 bet into a $26 win. Good job, underdogs, you guys rock, whoever you were.
