The word is they run the same show on Friday as the official show days on Saturday and Sunday. That's not exactly the case. Although, you do have the beach and the planes without the crowds. Some years, also the best weather of the weekend falls on Practice Friday. I made it out Friday for the first time. At 10am they came on the PA saying they'd delay an hour with bad weather coming. They should have said "You have 5-minute to RUN for cover!". About 10-minutes later it was a typhoon with people running for the vendor tents where we crowded in for 20+ minutes of pouring raining coming in sideways to the open-sided tents...


CHG_CANON, Very nice shots. I always love airshow pics. The Heritage, fly by is always an impressive and emotional flight. The military is extremely picky who can fly so close to their hardware so there are only a few pilots qualified to make that Heritage flight. I know one of them and he has told me it is quite a challenge as the F-16 must fly slow enough not to overrun the P-51 and at those flight speeds it is very tricky for both pilots to deal with minor wind or turbulence.
