One year I snuck around and got pictures of everyone's favorite pet, then I had throw blankets made on Snapfish. On black friday they have usually a 70% off sale. So I had all the items ready in my cart and bought them Black Friday. The blankets were GORGEOUS! It was a huge hit.

Also have made charm bracelets made at Shutterfly, they were very pretty too.

They have a sale going on that expires tomorrow to make some photo books, but I think I want to take advantage of making some throw pillows. Thanks for the link.

I've done cards, calendars (desktop and wall), notebooks with high school pictures and current pictures of golf group.. Turvis Tumblers (drinking glasses that don't sweat (are insulated) will slip a photo into the glass. I've done grandchildren, flowers, sports with this and it's only $18 a glass.

I too like the idea of calendars. I used make up my own calendars for most of the family (8 1/2 x 11) with scenic pictures, events, family members etc. Everyone’s calendar was a little different from everyone elses. For example, I put my mother-in-laws picture on the month of May, but changed the spelling to Mae, her name. Sometimes I have put someone's picture on the month of their birthday. I do go through the months and type in everyone's birthday.

Now, I try to take funny pictures and make up calendars showing everyone in a funny mood, a funny situation, or something just goofy. When I manage to snap that ‘goofy’ picture, EVERYONE yells out “that's a calendar picture!” During the holidays when we are opening Christmas gifts, everyone flips through their calendar to see if THEIR picture gets into the calendar. I also add 4-5 pages at the back of the calendar, with 4 pics to a page, showing some of the pictures that did not make the full page calendar, but shows alot of interesting pictures for all to see.

I was going to make some pillows but half my photo would have been cut off. I could not find a way to resize the photo smaller to fit their format. Disappointing!

I have made up CDs of photos in Power Point, added some nice (and appropriate) background music and sent them as gifts...long lasting and entertaining.
