Hello Hoggers,
I've accumulated some camera equipment that I would like to sell. I have given away a few items in the past, (On UHH) but these cameras are in such excellent shape, that I am asking $20.00 per camera plus shipping, which I would estimate in the $7-12.00 range. I bought them second-hand because they were attached to some nice legacy Alpha-Mount (Sony) lenses. I have installed fresh batteries, and both perform as well as they look. You can look up specs online, or read reviews, which are very favorable for these legacy film cameras. They are not 'top-of-the-line' cameras, but the Htsi Plus has 1/4000 sec to 30 sec. shutter control, and so on. They are both, as stated, alpha-mount, so they are compatible with all Sony/minolta/minolta-Konica mounts.

* Minolta MAXXUM HTsi Plus film camera (Body only with no Body cap) comes with fresh batteries & Camera strap

*Minolta MAXXUM 5 film camera, comes with fresh batteries and camera strap- as above This camera is so 'tight'that you need a paper-clip to hit the rewind button- not a flaw, but I thought I would mention this on the off-chance someone may ( as I do) try to use a fingernail to depress the button.

My Ebay seller-name is also "Meatyore" , and have been on there for years. I still sell a few things there, but I am sorry to say that Ebay is difficult to deal with, rather over-priced to use, and have so many demands on listings, that it is really not as much fun to use as it was, even compared to 3 years back. When you are selling ( as I did) mostly 1 of a kind paper items, the 'return item in 14 days' idea is a bit silly, as art is easily damaged with improper handling....etc..etc. Ok, I'm venting a bit! I like the Fred Miranda site, if any of you are unfamiliar with that selling venue.

If you have any interest in these bodies however- you will not be disappointed. They both look like ( after careful scrutiny) as if they just came out of the box. Thanks for lookin'!

BTW- i'm in North Houston now, if anyone would like to pick one or both items up in person

Great glass .
I have an SRT-101 and an X700 . Great cameras and lenses . Two favorites are the 1.4 58mm and the 1.7 85mm .
Good luck selling them , fine cameras !

Thanks Machia, no glass here, but I used the venerable SRT-101 when I was in H.S. , with that 1.4 lens! Then I started shooting with a Pentax ME Super for a while after that. Unfortunately, it could not survive a fall from a roller-coaster at Cedar Point. Ha!

Mine did survive a 20 foot drop onto a concrete slab . The only thing that was broken was the plastic tab on the end of the film rewind ! No damage whatsoever to the 58mm . These cameras are tanks . Still use it today .
My Canon DSLR wouldn't survive a 5 foot drop .
You have to spend a lot of $ to get a good rugged field camera today . So when a tough assignment is at hand , in goes the film ! Old MINOLTA gets the job done .
I do mostly job site documentation for a civil engineering company so shooting with film is fine . No need to rush the results in . It isn't photojournalism !
Even did some concert photography back in 1973-1984 . Got razor close to landing a job with a major AMERICAN rock musician in 1978 , but it wasn't meant to be .
My SRT-101 was there for all of it !

First line of your messages says location is Ohio. You should probably change that to TX.

I probably should! Been here a few months, and not been here (on the Hog) very often.

Just saw this saw this. Gave my SRT101, along with a couple of Vivitar lenses, to a friends niece for HS
photo class. Kept the X700.
