Of course, the catch is this baby got some salt water intrusion due to a leaky underwater housing. I sent the camera to the regional Canon repair facility for an estimate, and got back a written estimate on 8-1-16, stating that the main circuit board needed replacement for $498.97 ("estimate may be updated if additional parts are required for repair"). I requested that they return the camera, and I received it back this week. If you are technically savvy to take apart this camera to either replace the board or scavenge parts, this could be a bargain. Photos attached. The LCD is not discolored -- it is the result of reflections. I will cover shipping within CONUS. Eyepiece extender is included, and if the original strap is wanted, that also.

If you don't mind my asking, why don't you just have the camera fixed and continue using it or sell it then for its normal price in used condition? By all reports it is a good camera.

Got a good price on a new T5i that I'll use as a backup, and for photos (non-BIF) that don't require the tracking ability of my 7D Mark II that is my workhorse.

Salt water? I would consider it dead. Who knows what contacts, etc., will corrode in the next year. Canon may find and replace some of them, but you may end up paying as much as a new one costs for the repair.
