My husband and I will be staying in Winter Park, Colorado, for a week very soon, and I am wondering where the best places for photo taking are. Since there must be great scenery at every turn, what I probably need is to know how to narrow down the choices!
Thanks so much for your help.
You are already at one of the best places - Winter Park. There should be an occasional elk strolling in the towns in the area, but your best bet is to go into Rocky Mountain National Park. One can take the ridge road through the park and then back. Or loop through the park on ridge road, go south towards Grand Lake, go east, and then north over Berthoud Pass back to Winter Park. Once you start exploring the area, you will understand what the fox feels like when he finds himself in the chicken house. So many pictures, so little time.
