Given his avatar, a WWII vintage Lancaster bomber, my guess is that he did, or possibly still does, fly a Vickers Viscount. That's an old British 4 engine turboprop airliner. First flew in '48. Same year I was born, and, like me, well past it's prime!

I flew across the Atlantic in a Viscount back in 1960. We hit bad air pockets. The plane would drop like a stone for a couple of hundred feet and then smack like we hit concrete. A Catholic priest on the flight started shouting out the Rosary at the top of his voice and scared the **** out of everybody.
I guess it worked - we survived.

How can one not include "any" device capable of capturing an image? I have seen numerous great photos taken with really crappy equipment. They were not of higher quality but, simply "better" than much of what is produced by top of the line equipment. My equipment is of high quality and so are my crappy images.

Here's but one good example http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ktv7I_yM0qQ

I think photos taken with a cell phone should not be shown on this forum. They are not cameras and the operator needs to show minimum skill in using them.
I do not think you are an idiot but, you may need to venture a bit farther out of your box.

Why aren't they cameras? And why you think taking pictures with a phone is any easier than a profesional camera like the Canon 1DX? I have no problem using any high end cameras but I do have problems using the damn phone. Just can't make it does what I want it to do.

Personally, I think a photo is a photo, regardless of the equipment used. I have seen quite a few cell phone shots that were better than what I have gotten with my camera and was surprised to learn that they were taken with a cell phone because the quality (great lighting, no noise, etc.) was so good. I think it is perfectly fine to submit them to this forum. You have to shoot with what you have, if all you have is a cell phone, why be excluded? Just one humble opinion.

Couldn't say it better.

Some of the best pics of my grandkids were taken by my daughter on her cell phone.

In the 60 plus years of my non-professional time of taking photos I have learned that the important thing is the final product, not the equipment.
Good pics are good pics.

Are you trying to troll us? This seems like a question designed to elicit heated responses. Of course, a cell phone camera is a camera. Some of them are fairly good cameras. My cell phone has an average camera, for cell phones, and takes OK pictures. To me, since I have better cameras, it's my "flying saucer" camera. If a flying saucer ever showed up, I'd probably take its picture with a cell phone camera because I'm carrying it on my person at all times.

You right, your going to get shouted at. Tell me honestly if these photographs are not worthy. I'm not that familiar with your work, but how many of you images are better then these?

Any DSLR with an "A" setting also requires minimal skills. Same with most any less complex camera. Where should we draw the line? The primary purpose of a cell phone may not be as a camera, but it certainly has that capability so, yes, it is a camera when used in that manner. They are also not calculators but they do a fine job as such when used in that manner also. A surprising number of incredible photos have been taken with cell phones by pro's and amateurs alike.
Personally, I, like you, disdain the cell phone cameras but, you can't deny the results that are often achieved.

Are you forgetting though that automatic mode or not, the best photos are a good combination of composition and the understanding of light and your subject. That's where the skill really come in. Anyone can put their camera in Aperture priority and get a decent exposure. Plenty of crappy shots taken with expensive cameras, plenty of great ones taken with cell phones. See below.
