I am so happy, I can crap! I literally have over a hundred of them thru out the yard. Not every one blooms every year that I can tell, but when they get going, it is a sight to see.

Nice! The tiger lily in my flower bed hasn't bloomed in a couple of years. Not since it layed in my yard overnight after my dad pulled it up thinking it was a weed and I came in after dark that night and didn't see it. He pulled up easter lilies and day lilies too! Although they are going great guns again this year. I got them replanted and watered in again as soon as I found them the next morning and they bloomed that year.

That's funny! You got lucky. Last year was the first year that I planted Asiatic Lilly's. I was rather disappointed that they only bloom once and for only about a week. Anyway, when winter came around, I just let them die off and I left them there.

This year I noticed straight away that they had come back but some were not where I had planted them (imagine that). Yesterday, a variety bloomed (kind of an iridescent orange) that I know I had not planted. A little cross pollination going on here, perhaps?

Same thing with my Bee Balm. I only planted a single plant last year. Now I have about 25. yay.

But this is kind of what happened in my backyard with the tiger lilly's. I planted a small patch several years ago and now that patch is about 10ft, long and about 6ft. wide. The one you see here is from that patch but I had transplanted to another area.

What a great job you did of photographing a beautiful Tiger Lilly. I would call this a wall hanger.

That's really nice. Hasn't this been a wonderful spring for blooming things?

Lovely photo! I love how you & others make the background black. Maybe someday I will understand or have the means to do this :)

Good shot. I love the lilies, have those in my yard too and amd crazy to cind some Monarda (Bee balm) in coral or red! I love the way they smell. When I had it, I'd pinch off a leaf and crush it to keep nearby when I was painting.
