My first ship was a destroyer escort up on the DEW line. Weather got very rough at times but wouldn't change the experience for all the tea in China. Great pictures, especially the radio room. Still recognize some of the equipment. Hope to see more.

Almost as bad as the powdered milk, was the canned evaporated milk that we had in Alaska in 1952. Made me switch to black coffee which I still drink.

Were you the radio operator? If so did you ever get an amateur license? You can see by my i.d. that I hold an Extra Class license.
