Since it has been a touch warm (110 THI ) in the NY City area the last few days, I thought that all of us in that area would appreciate a little snow.

Took me a few minutes to figure out what the heck THI was.

"The Heat Index"

I guess I should start UMFW so I can type less.

Technically it's the --temperature, humidity, index. Sometimes called the Real Feel. It should be called TFH.

Yes, nicknamed the Heat Index, but you can't use HI, that's a salutation. Never saw THI used anywhere before. But then I usually use RW (real words- RW - wait, that's Read-Write) unless they are accepted mnemonics. (But that brings up another situation like in a specific group.) I'll stick with (mostly) the whole word, even if it means more typing.
I wonder if the meteorologists use LPS for Low Pressure System?

Like eating a popsicle! Enjoyed the breath of cool air that photo brought, as it's about the only cool thing around. TFH!!!

Hot and humid sucks, but cold windy and snowing sucks worse. I can still ride my motorcycle in this oppressive heat but need to get out the big gas guzzling 4 wheel drive Silverado 2500HD for the nasty wind blown white stuff. Best part about the beast is it's got great AC for the summer and great heat for the winter, but it's still a guzzler.
