Exposure Compensation meter on Sony A6300

Has anyone noticed that the exposure compensation meter appears only on the monitor and not on the viewfinder? I guess you there isn't anything in the display setting to add it...Seems weird since you'd want to see the meter if you needed to use the viewfinder say when the sun was bright and you couldn't see the monitor...
Such a simple setting that they missed...

I can see it through my viewfinder. Right on the bottom below the viewfinder screen.

Yes it is in the viewfinder. I can see it. Seems though unless you've assigned the down button to the exposure compensation you can't use it in manual mode. It's fine in SP and AP though. (I reassigned the down button to something else hoping it would default to EC in manual mode...guess I was wrong)
