Love that you show the tower from a different perspective than the usual photo. Great job.

You mention the size of the tower. 30 some years ago we were in the eating level and decided to walk down. Down should be no problem right. Our legs were so sore we could go down any stair for three days.

WOW! Never thought it was that big before...fantastic perspective Bob!
Thanks Bill. Well, you gotta think that any monument that towers over the city and that you can see from miles around has just got to be big, riight?

Bob, you have really created a beautiful image here, love how you processed it.
Thank you Walt. I put just the edge of a neo-impressionism paint-style on it. I especially like the lawn that runs away down to am impressive building at the end of the park.

The people certainly do give the structure magnitude. Nice photo, Bob.
Thanks John. The people are a trick I learned from Minniev .. to give scale to a well known scene, and add a bit of humanity as well.

Thank you Stash. Yep, there's a bit more detail in there that was equally as impressive as the view.

Paris, 2008 - an idyllic time. Neo-impressionist painting, with perspective on a grand scale.

Adding people for scale shows folks just how large the Eiffel Tower really is.

A wonderful use of perspective. The history of the tower is interesting. Eiffel built the tower as an exhibit fo the 1889 Worlds Fair in Paris. It was such a fantastic success that the Chicago Exhibition 4 years later was afraid the their fair would be a faiure. As a result the hired a man named Ferris to construct a competitive exhibit, Hence the Ferris Wheel. ( as an aside my sister once asked me how I know all this trivia-- my response--I have a mind full of trash)

Thank you Robert. Apart from the people, the detail in the arches added some great scale too.

Bob, a really nice bit of photographic work. It's also the first photo, that I can recall, of the tower that gives one the sense of its size.

Thanks Boberic. Trivia is NOT synonymous with trash ..... it's ever so much more interesting (and cleaner by far).
