Most of my bird posts are closely cropped or portrait style showing very little context for the subject. These are more in the nature of landscapes with birds or birdscapes. The last is a reworked previous post.

The concept of "birdscapes" is wonderful and very environmentally educational. And these images are thrilling to me. I'll try to take more like this in the future. Thank you for sharing! FEMjr

Great shots! Each one tells a complete story and shows their natural surroundings. Mahalo for sharing.

#2 is stunning! Those understated colors punctuated by the white birds...the sharp details of the egret and the foreground reeds...just a wonderful image with fantastic mood.

I very much like your concept and the shots as well! Number 2 caught my attention in a big way. Love the feel of an overcast day with all the birds going about their daily routine.

Thanks very much Carol. I'm starting to think about the next migratory season on the Pacific flyway. I appreciate your kind words.
