Sunday at a local park, I heard the keening cry of a bird of prey. After walking around the same 4-5 trees for 15 minutes, this landed in front of me capturing a lizard for a snack. Then he flew into a tree and continued his call. He sat there long enough for these photos. Hope you enjoy. I believe it is a young Red-Tail.

Brilliant captures,

I'm not a fan of bird photography, but your shots are really appealing and very well done.

Fine shots Larry. Particularly the first two with the extra sunlight on him/her.

How fortunate you were to be in the right place at the right time (with a camera :-) ) Beautiful shots.

THose pics are beautiful! You did a nice job. I just posted some today too, similar to yours of a Red Tail hawk. I was so excited when we saw him and I was able to catch a bunch of good pics before he flew away! NIce job!!
