A local fire dept asked me to resurrect a few old photos. I am unable to do much with these, anyone wanting to try?

Nice Job Bob, isn't PP wonderful when you need it?

Thanks, TriX. PP sure is nice when one needs it. The trick is just like cooking and spices. Use just enough so that if a spice is missing it's noticed, instead of being overpowering.

Bob, you did a better job than I did, that's for sure. Thank you.

I removed the horizontal lines from lower half, straightened, adjusted contrast and sharpened both.

Fantastic, thank you.
I'm going to print several collages using 8 different photos. I was able to save all but the two here. Again thank you.
All of the photos had those lines, I guess the film was scratched going through the camera.

Here's my efforts. I used an obsolete processing program to remove lines, sharpen and levels. Will try the firetruck next.

Here's the truck. Unfortunately, when removing the lines, it also removes some detail so I used it sparingly on both photos. The truck is a little harder to fix.

Oh! Kubota King, that is a great effort. The best image so far IMHO.

I just modified the first photo for lack of time. Hope you like it.
Adjusted in NIK COLLECTION with NIK SILVER EFEX PRO 2
PSE 14 UNSHARP and SHARPEN
Removed some of the horizontal lines with healing tool and clone stamp.
George

edit 2: It's much better if you view in download
