Google Chrome is installed and used on my iPhone, my wife's iPhone & iPad. No issues have been experienced.

I have used the UHH Search to check out past posts on Chrome/Macs, so I have seen some varying opinions about Chrome and Macs. I have a MacBook Pro, and I was wondering if there are any more recent pro or con opinions regarding Chrome's use on this laptop, before I consider downloading it and using it in tandem with Safari.

I have a Macbook Pro. I have not used Safari for about 5 years. I have not experienced any problems at all.

I've used Firefox on my MacBook (Not the Pro) for several years now. I like it better than Safari (More user friendly). I tried using Chrome but for some reason it would not configure correctly with my system (Full Disclosure....I have an outdated OS on my Mac that I can no longer update due to hardware restrictions on this laptop)

I had a problem with it and called Apple Tech (800) 275 2273 it took them about 20 min to clean it up. They found it dragged a bunch of junk in with it.

I've used Safari, Chrome, and Firefox on my Macbook Pro. I now only use Firefox because I can install ad-blocking software on it that works. It makes the whole internet browsing experience so much better. The ad-blocking software doesn't seem to work on Chrome or Safari. Yeah, I know I'm depriving some advertiser, but the ads on the internet have gotten completely out of hand.

Good to know. I'm interested in ad blocking also, but I haven't actually attempted to yet. Firefox is probably the most flexible of all the browsers as far as the ability to customize it goes.

I agree completely; adds are the ultimate in not only invasion but the same systems that allow that abuse also leave open doorways for viruses and hackers. As always, everything is about the money and not about what's prudent and safe. I'be heard about firefox allowing add blocking but have never been able to figure out how to do it. An explanation of how to access that would be great. Using mac computers.

No, am very cautious of programs over the internet I'm not familiar with or know where they come from. I assume that it is safe without hidden extras for their advantage?

I use "uBlock Origin". It works very well with Firefox, but it's not available for Safari, yet. Just go to the "uBlock Origin" site and download it for Firefox. That is apparently the original version, there is another "uBlock" site that isn't.

I have used both Safari and Chrome on my MacBook Air with no problems. I, in fact, primarily use Chrome since I liive in both the Mac & PC world. I have even used firefox. I prefer Chrome.
