From the Gunnison/Crested Butte area of Colorado.
Interesting and appealing series!
I really love the old ranches and barns as I grew up on the Wachter Rancher just out of Bismarck, ND. Your pictures bring back some of the finest memories I have. It was hard work but also fun. Thank you for this one.

My family was from ND...mother was from Starkweather and my father was from Fordville. I used to go back to Adams, ND in the summer as a teenager and work on a family friends farm...mostly durham wheat, barley and alfalfa for the dairy cows. And it definitely was hard work. Family is all gone now but we still enjoy going back and visiting old sites. Much has changed...farmers now live in town and drive out to the farm to work!
Very attractive series. I really enjoyed these.

Thank You Carol...glad you enjoyed...I had a lot of fun taking them!
I am fairly familiar with the general Gunnison, Crested Butte, Gothic areas. I have never seen such historic & near-historic structures in such good condition, as you have captured. Where did you find image #1 & image #3? And where is the Y-bar ranch?
Image #1 - Just east of Cimarron on the highway from Montrose to Gunnison and then south up the gravel road to Silver Jack Lake...this was maybe 4 miles up the road.
Image #3 - Is from the highway going north out of Gunnison to Crested Butte on the east side of the road...about 5 - 6 miles south of CB.
Image #5 - The Y-bar ranch is on the same highway as #3 and about half way to CB...again on the east side of the road.
All three of these are easy to spot from the roads mentioned with #3 and #5 right on the road as was 2,4 and 5. These five images were within 10 miles of each other. You probably have passed them many times while jeeping in the area.
Very good series Jederick.
I love shots of old houses and barns. Makes me wonder of the stories each one of them could tell about the past occupants. I bet there are some wonderful stories. Cheers.

Thanks for dropping by and your comments flathead. I used to shoot competitively at the range just north of Ault, CO and stay in Greeley. Do you ever get out that way?
A very nice enjoyable series.
