I need a backpack that will carry a Nikon D7200 with a Nikkor 200-500 lens attached plus a few wide angle lenses and will carry a tripod. Thank you in advance for your suggestions.
I have a lowepro fastpak 150AW. You might consider the 250AW to fit the 200-500 lens you have with camera attached. Check their website.

Just got a LowePro Trekker 450AW - I think it will fit that, and more. Look at their ProRunner, ProTactic and Flipside - the big issue will be the length of the bag - for some reason they have gone to a shorter, deeper bag style. I had a PhotoTrekker that would easily accommodate a 400mmF2.8 with a body attached, a second body and 2-3 more lenses and stuff. LowePro is a quality company that stands behind their products.
I have a Thinktank Glass Limo for the D810 or 750 with the 200-500. You can have the lens attached as well as the hood. It's slim yet has room for my 24-70 & 1.4 tele.
I agree with the recommendations for LowePro backpacks. I have the Flipside500 AW that holds my Tamron 150-600, 70-200, 28-75, 50 f/1.4, flash, & Sony A850 body. B&H carries it for $167.00 with free shipping.

I have the LowePro ProTactic 450 AW which will fit all of what you're describing plus more. Very sturdy build with plenty of quick access points and attachment point for tripod/monopod.
I always use a Yogi Bear pillow case tied up with orange rope to match the piece I hold my ankle flapping pin stripe pants up with. The pillow case will hold all ya gear plus the usual assortment of drugs and booze flasks essential on any shoot. The advantage to this type of bag is if worn with a pink hand knitted sweater over a striped pajama top with a Davy Crockett hat worn so the tail is at the front and a rope soled boating shoe on one foot and a wellington boot on the other you will breeze straight thru security wherever you wish to shoot. No one will search your bag and you will just be able to walk into the press section or areas reserved for photographers. You can light up a bong and no one will come near you. It unconventional for sure but will get you results. Wallmart has a matching set of Yogi or Donald Duck pillow cases for $9.99 a set
