Beautiful shots, Greg! I love the natural looking water in the waterfall! Amazing statistics! I've only seen Lakes Erie, Ontario, and Michigan.

On Saturday, I took a sunset cruise of the Pictured Rocks in Munising, Michigan. They are sandstone cliffs that tower 50 to 200 feet above Lake Superior. If you are not familiar with Lake Superior, it is the largest freshwater lake in the world. It is 350 miles long, 160 miles across at its widest, and about 1,300 fee at it deepest. According to the National Park Service, this natural vessel holds so much liquid that, if drained, the water would fill a swimming pool the size of the lower 48 states to a depth of nearly five feet.

Beautiful places for sure. Thanks for sharing.
I think the NP service needs to check their information though. Google 'Lake Baikal', and 'worlds largest lakes'. Superior is largest in surface size.

Highly interesting and informative series of images. The tree growing on top of the rock is unique indeed.
