Previously I posted photos of the blue heron who had caught a big snake in the bushes. Yesterday I got the opportunity to photograph the blue heron who caught a snake in the water. After several minutes of struggle, she was finally successful in swallowing the snake.

Yes, photophile she must be very hungry. After eating the snake she was not only full but looked like very tired. She did not look for any further meal as she was done for the evening.

You are right Sue, I keep on going there in the hope to get a big action photographed. Same day blue heron had caught two fish but those were very small which could not satisfy the hunger of the heron. Finally poor snake not knowing what will happen to him came near the heron and became the victim of her appetite.
