For the D750 users, do you shoot with the Nikkor 200-500 mm lens, if so, what are your impressions of the lens on your D750?

It's a very impressive lens on the D750, and even more impressive on the D500.

Interesting. How did get a D500 four months before the release date?

I have used this combo (d750 plus 200-500) for wildlife, abstracts and macro.

I use this combo for magazine assignments, typically shooting from a moving boat to another moving boat. It's VR is outstanding...usually giving me an extra 3 or 4 f/stops. I've also shot moving objects from land using a tripod for support, and its sharpness is very impressive. I had a chance to compare it with Nikon's 500mm f/4, and it was just as sharp, at least to my eyes. I've also used Nikon's 1.4X tele with good results and even got a decent shot with Nikon's 1.7X tele, although they don't officially recommend it. Overall a fantastic lens, especially for the money.

200-500 works great on my D800 and D5300 so it should also work great on D750.

If doing wildlife handheld try M mode set to min f-stop (5.6) and shutter speed of 1/500 with auto-ISO also set to min shutter speed of 1/500. Took me a while to figure that out.
