Here yuh go. One from close (about 15') and one from a distance of about 80' if I recall.

I use very, very little sharpening which helps keep noise low enough I generally need no NR. Keep in mind this was my first and second time out with the Sport, or any long lens for that matter. You are going to love this lens.

Nice shots Bill. I found that shooting with a long lens (600 f/4.0) that as I filled the frame I also needed very little sharpening. I do use Topaz NR when needed. I'm real persnickety and would buy the Sigma USB Dock and learn how to use it just in case I ever had a problem.

I too submitted an offer through GreenToe for a 150-600C, Canon mount and Adorama picked up my offer within an hour. I couldn't be happier with the service by both companies. Had my lens in 5 days.

I too recently used Greentoe to purchase a Nikon D750 with a 24-120 f/4 lens. Purchase fullfilled by Unique Photo in NJ - an authorized Nikon dealer. Was somewhat worried as I got for $150 below lowest online price from reputable dealer. Used credit card, no shipping or taxes. And the brown truck delivered on time. Product is US with all warranties for body and lens - and now registered with Nikon.

Thanks, RRS

How much sharpening do you have dialed into your camera in the set up menu. I shoot RAW and have sharpening preset to 1. If your shooting JPEG then there is some sharpening done even SOOC without you having to do anything with the image in PP.

Your images are very sharp, I'm just trying to figure out your starting point. I've seen some sharp images SOOC but they had their sharpening set to the max in the camera. Every digital image can use a little sharpening. You should be very happy with your new lens. Is there any reason that you feel that you won't need the USB dock for that lens?

That's not bad , have you looked at the first 4 images? Look at Canon/Nikon lenses that are in that range and $1,475.00 looks pretty good!

When the Canon 300mm f/2.8 L II came out it was $7,300.00, I bought mine right after it dropped to $6,700 and now you can buy it new for $6,100. How long have you owned that lens and do you have the USB dock?

I've had it since it became available...maybe a year. Yes I got the dock with it.

Thanks, did you find that the dock made a difference? I couldn't imagine going back to a system of lenses that I couldn't adjust on my own. I'm asking these questions because I looking at this lens and the Canon 100-400 II. There are many times that we come across wildlife while driving (road hunters) and my wife shoots off a bean bag and I think that the Sigma wouldn't be too long or heavy to work with. The 300mm doesn't have the reach and the 600mm prime is too big and heavy to be moving about in the car.

It worked out great, GreenToe is in the process of being approved by Adorama to accept payment with PayPal. I used regular debit card!
You can get this deal only through GreenToe, they bargain with different suppliers with the offer you make them.
GreenToe and Adorama made this happen very fast. Adorama filed the order Tuesday, I received the lens Friday, NO shipping cost or taxes.

For those who maybe considering a lens of this size. HOPE THIS MAY HELP.
The auto focus is almost without sound.
The OS is unbelievable when shooting handheld at 600mm
I am attaching 3 images shot as Tiff no PP saved for this as jpeg. These are first images using the lens.
These images are all shot with a +4 EV )I have all shade all day at my home.)

IMAGES: All were hand held (NO PP AT ALL) I shot Manual w/AF w/ISO limit of 500-800. Color choice is Adoba RGB
TOMATOES: 600mm-f/6.3 - 1/160 - ISO 500 +4EV
FLOWERS: 600mm-f/6.3 - 1/500 - ISO 500 +4EV
HUMMER: 600mm-f/6.3 - f/250 - ISO 500 +4EV
2nd (same image) of hummer was PP in photo shop to see just what IQ was after being shot in heavy shadows.
I will say it will take some getting use to,not use to all the switches to check. I believe I got a fantastic lens for what I paid, the lens is beautiful made.
Just to compare I have a Nikon 300mm f/4 and Nikon 500mm f/4. I believe the IQ of the sigma rite out of the box (The camera D810) is very close to those lens.

Soon after ordering I had 2nd thoughts, thinking I should have ordered the Nikon 200-500..... NOW: NO REGRETS!
First I would like to thank all for their comments... (show quote)

What did you pay? I tried Greentoe once with no luck. And I did not low ball them.
