Sometimes, reading these posts, I think I'm back in second grade! Isn't it possible to have a conversation or discussion without berating each other. Some on here just need to grow up a bit! Let's work to solve world problems, not create new ones!

Are you saying there are no crooked trees? You must live in lala land.
Since you are somebody, why not move your camera or cell phone back a bit so you don't chop off part of the cars you take pictures of? Should you not be aware of such basic "rule"? After how many decades?

Thank you, although I can't take credit for it - I saw someone else had it in their signature and I liked it so much, I put it in mine. It is so right on!

I'm not sure I understand what you're saying? My point here is that a lot of people these days allude to pretense. The fact that one can look anywhere on the interwebs and rate themselves in a sea or mediocrity does not trump real experience, real knowledge or real meaning. I'm not saying this to get anyone's knickers in a not. There are many things I enjoy and wish I was better at. Wouldn't it be great to be Eric Clapton? I'm sure he had "talent " but he learned to have much more and he worked very hard at it. He looked long and hard at others who were better and had more experience. The question here is not whether you are a hammerer because you use a hammer but rather, are you going to spend the time ( and it does take time)to be more than the hammer or the title hammerer. We're all up against the same question. Let's stop fooling ourselves.

I have had a similar experience. I started taking photos for fun. People kept telling me how much they enjoyed my pictures so I started studying and investing some time. The more I learn, the more I see the faults of my work.

Thats my story as well. Such is the quest for a greater view in life. A static position in life without self examination and exploration is limited. I bear no ill to those who don't wish a larger challenge. Enjoy your time. At the same time there is a difference between a person who has a pencil and labels them selves an artist and someone who has a larger commitment to a discipline. Semantics aside, there is a difference. No problem.. no reason to feel inferior.. just recognize the difference. It's OK! Really!
