I've made a bit of a device for scanning negatives with my DSLR i used a tamron 90mm macro with extension rings with a telescoping tube that holds the negative. The negative was very thin and under exposed and so i decided to see if i could do anything with it. It's kinda difficult to scan a negative artificial light usually results in a terrible scan. So i find that aiming at a cloud seems to bring the best results but if the negative is washed out its just not possible to recover to a good standard. But here is a bad exposure after some work in lightroom.
I have an Epson Copier (Model 4180) gathering dust in my closet. It came with all the attachments to copy and print or save to a computer, pictures made by a 35mm camera, both film and slides. I bought it when I went over from standard 35mm cameras to digital. So I have no real use for it anymore. Interested? email me. ted.morgen@andore.net
