Just an idea...
Thanks MWAC! I was reading the book "Understanding Exposure" yesterday while my wife was having a "procedure" done at the hospital, and Peterson stresses "Set the f stop and the camera will show you IN THE VIEWFINDER what shutter speed is appropriate" etc. I don't think the Fuji X10 does that, but I would hope it does on the screen. I liked the manual zoom on the X10 and the small size and weight. Guess I'll have to see if the only camera store near me (30 miles) handles them and hint that I might buy. That ought to get them to brief me on its characteristics.
I'll see if I can find a review on the Nikon One. Don't worry, I won't tell a soul what you told me!

I think that is a wonderful idea and a good way to learn. By the way, I have looked at some of your tutorials and they are great.

Mom, my hand is raised and I'm sitting in the front row. I think Beagleman was asking another question about where to find EXIF information. Mind if I suggest something to him?

Please do, this is open learning/teaching if you know the answer to something some else has asked, please feel free to share it!
I would be interested. I need to get out and shoot more. This sounds like a good idea. Keep us posted...Thanks

Het guys,
Just for the heck of it, I found this the other day. I'm being asked by my home town to sell a coulple of shots to the Chamber of Commerce. They want copies of the original files & I didn't want to include the EXIF data (which you can access from the PSE toolbar by File>Properties). When you re-save the file from File>Save as Web.., you get a copy w/o the metadata.

Yeah! I am all for it. When do we start?

Just putting this out there, I know we have a daily photo challenge here on UHH hosted by photogrl57, I believe the idea behind her thread is to get people out and using their camera every day. Now I dont want to step on her toes but I was thinking of hosting a weekly photo challenge that would be more geared toward learning how to use your camera, what changing certain settings will do and helping members go from using a pre-program mode to learning how to use the scary M mode (manual). There would be weekly assignments and we would discuss as a group what we learned each week, maybe even take a selected group of images from the lesson and discuss them as a whole.
Let me know if anyone is interested in something like this.
