I'm looking at purchasing a Tamron SP 24-70mm F/2.8 Di VC USD for use on my Nikon D-750 in lieu of the Nikon version of this lens
Cost is the reason, as I don't take lots of pictures and can't see spending them difference in $$ for the Nikon

Does anyone have an good or bad comments on this combination.

According to DxO the Tamron 24-70 is the best bet for quality and price.

Thanks. I had read the DX-0 review, appreciate a user's comment too. I love landscape pics, and interior of buildings.

Thanks for the input. I think I've about made up my mind. Looking for some photos on the internet now . But for the price/performance I think it's the way to go

I don't have any experience with the specific combination, but I got rid of my Nikon when I discovered how much Nikon discourages the use of non-Nikon lenses with their cameras. If you have any trouble they will just tell you they don't support other lenses than their own.

I have a 750 and use this lens , it's an excellent combination, however I've not used the Nikon 24-70, price and VC was my deciding factor when I bought the Tamron, and I haven't been disappointed

Not good for sports and probably wildlife as the autofocus is so slow, so I keep it for other types of images.

Thank you so much. My primary use will be landscapes. I'm looking for an alternative to the very expensive Nikon . I do want the 2.8 but looks like I might settle for a Fixed 24mm for landscapes
