All great advice, thanks! My family and I were out there last summer doing the Mighty Five, but, the rest of the family is not into backpacking or serious hiking. About all I got was a quick hike to the bottom of Bryce and that was it. I have 5 days and getting the top down two day permits was a real high point. If I can score a permit in the last minute lottery for the Subway, that would be perfect. Time will tell.
I have all my dry sacks and will rent the footwear and neoprene socks.

Watch for Condors if you get up high. I got some great shots of one on Angel's Landing about 5 yrs. ago.

And the countdown starts.........44 days! Since I didnt win a permit in the subway bottom up lottery, I am going to get in the last minute lottery and hopefully score a permit.
