Several years ago, I posted a photo of a Red-Shouldered Hawk that dove down and took my hat. the first picture is of that event (sorry for the poor quality of the scan). This past week I was walking in the same vicinity and it occurred again. This time, it didn't get my hat.

Funny! And great shots. Maybe not so funny, had you not had the had on. Perhaps you need a hardhat?!

Larry, I took the liberty of working with your image to bring out a bit better version. I hope you don't mind.

I did not do this to hijack Larry's thread. So, please, keep the comments regarding the reworked image to a minimum.

Yeah, but I never got my hat back! He did make two passes at me, though, and the first hit my hat.

You need to stop wearing that hat with the mice on top! Very interesting!

May I ask what you did to upset him so much? :)

Glad he didn't get it the second time... That is just a bit too close...

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

You did a very good job clearing up the photo and, by the way, that hawk looks as if he isn't anytime soon going to be letting loose of Larry's hat ! Am wondering what the hawk has in mind for using it ? :)
