Sir, to many action shooters, certainly for me, IQ is of little importance. Gains in IQ are fine and dandy, but to me of little importance. All good cameras are good enough.
JOB #1 is landing a difficult to focus shot!!
And the 7ll will do that for me with FAR greater accuracy and in-focus capability than ANY previous Canon crop camera before it.
The fact that many sports pros shoot in JPEG, alone is testament that IQ if not the most important factor involved in camera choice.
But what is most important to you is all that matters to you but that may not be a universal factor in the world of fast action shooting.
All the IQ on the planet is of little value when the shot is just slightly soft because the camera couldn't quite handle the focus duties.
This is of course, just MY personal opinion and needs. ;-)
