It was so nice to see things greening up! Tried to get some good backgrounds for the birds.
Mr. & Mrs. Wood Duck (when I shot this from quite a distance and through the fence, I had no idea they were wood ducks; thought they were mallards! And I'd be wishing sooo much to see a wood duck! Geeee...

Beautiful photos, Sue! That's quite a catch, your photo of the wood duck. They are generally timid ducks.
Your 'blue jay' is a nuthatch. Cute little guy. They like to spiral headfirst down tree trunks, searching for little insects and droplets of sap. :)
Thanks Sarah! Ya know, I saw him scurry down the tree trunk head first and tried to capture him but he was too fast! Thanks for letting me know that this is him! :)
Nice pics. One of my personal favs, the nuthatch, we have a bunch of them at our Lancaster County site and they're fun to watch...
