She show off her eggs to me today...all six of them! Gave her some fresh water (the little birds are using it as a bird bath!), and a bite or two of whole wheat bread (no money to by seed). I'm very concerned 'cause her mate has been missing for two days now! Last year her rarely left her side, and if he did, he was back quickly. I'll have to get some seed or something for her to eat. Who knows what Canada geese eat???
Those oversized winged vermin eat anything they can. Don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily hate Canada Geese, they are beautiful animals, there's just way to many of them around here and they've become a nuisance. I've had to come up with all sorts of clever ways to keep them from raiding some of my bird feeders and ultimately, they still win.
If you must feed them, duck pellets are a good food for them. A 50 pound bag usually retails for around $20/25 at most places that sell feed and seed, like Agway. Don't feed them bread, it's not good for them, they like it but it's not good for them.
Thanks so much, Bill, for this link! I learned a lot!
Thanks so much for your help, rmorrison1116!

Good shots. Hope hubbie returns soon. I'd be worried, too.
Are these the parking lot squatters?
Nice little family she's cooking here. Along with the duck pellets already mentioned, which is better balanced, sunflower seeds, about $18/50 pounds or any wild bird mixture will satisfy her. If you happen to have bugs or small fish handy, they'll do nicely, too!
