R.G., here is my contribution. I tweaked a little in Elements, then brought it into Simplify and finished in NIK Color Efex Thanks for letting me play, always fun!
This is a jpg derived from a merge of bracketed shots, so despite the fact that it's a jpg, there should be lots of data to play with. Feel free to edit as you see fit.

Here's my attempt. Basically, I tried to separate the three layers of this image by lightening the background, darkening the middle ground, and by adding clarity and sharpening to the rocks in the foreground. I also de-clarified the background a little. It needs to be downloaded to really see the edits. All edits were made in ACR. JackM
Angela, Jack and Mike, thanks for taking part. I too have a preference for a natural look, but things would get very boring very quickly if everybody edited that way. It's great to see all the different variations from one image.

Immediately recognized the Fairy Pools and had to give this one a go. :)
Good strong colours, Dman, although having been there in person I would have to say the orange is perhaps a bit too strong and in reality it's more of a soft brown. But that's just me quibbling :-) .
I wasn't aware of the "Fairy Pools" name. Having googled it, what I read in the following link exactly describes my experience of it. When you work your way up the stream to the place shown in this image, there's just one photographable scene after another, especially if you want the Cuillins as your background.
Thanks R.G. for posting a beautiful landscape to work on. This one has given me many hours of pleasure. I tried so many things on it that I can't remember how I got to the one I'm posting.

You're welcome, and thanks for the compliment, Roadking. Three different styles and three successes. You've obviously got well-rounded capabilities.
In the last one, it's funny how the wavy effect looks as good in the mountains as it does in the stream :-) .
