Do you use a screen protector on your camera??
If so what one do you use?? And why was that your choice??
Is one really needed, or is it just something else to spend money on??? :-) I try to be as careful with the back of my camera as I am with the front "and the sides for that matter" as to not cause any damage, and yes I do have protection on my lenses.....Tom

My D7000 came with a plastic snap on protector. Does the 7100 not?

As Len mentioned, it is a preference. I don't have one either, but that's me.

Dave, they must have given up on the snap on cover for the 7100 - mine didn't have one.

This is the one I use. It came as a kit with my camera and I am very happy with it.

I do not us anything ,Tom. I do have them for my lens, but hardly ever use them unless I'm around the ocean and lots of blowing sand.

Nope. Didn't on my d5100 either and it still looks good. Over 40,000 clicks on that camera.

I do on my 7000 and 7200. Got on ebay, bought the tempered glass ones that stick on. Looks like there's nothing on it, but in theory anyway, supposed to protect from scratches. What the heck, they aren't expensive.

Ever since a grain of sand got between the protector and the screen on my D90, I haven't used them. I pop them off and store them in the box the camera came in.

Yes - I bought a thin glass one from Ebay for peanuts. I dropped the camera in Iceland, in its bag, which shattered the screen protector but not the screen - although the screen stopped working (I was able to download my photos to iPad which confirmed that the camera was still working fine). After repair, I bought another screen protector.

Yes, you can buy them cheap on EBay, There is one that is high impact and will not scratch. One on camera and one on Cell Phone. Made of Corning Ware.

Why do you think he is asking the question. Put your thinking cap on. Have it on. Now think, why is he asking that question.
