Hey! I used to have that scope.

And on a GoTo Mount with a 2 star alignment, I can find anything.

Not the sun... The shadow is falling on the wrong side of the car. Supposedly, you can see the planets (esp Venus) in broad daylight, if you know *exactly* where to look.

I actually thought about putting a tripod on top of my car, as a solution to the low-down alignment problem with a star tracker we were discussing earlier. Wouldn't work, though, since I need to get back in and sit while doing any long exposures or series...

I have viewed and photographed the moon occluding Venus during the day.

I remember seeing those. Thanks. I have seen Venus against a pretty bright sky, but never full daylight. It's a question of knowing *exactly* where to look.

I just want the car.....thinking that with the scope up like that, I'd get it caught on a powerline or something.

Scott (nice strong roof on that ride) B

I have found out this guy with the mobile GoTo Scope has a friend. His scope needs a slightly bigger vehicle for the mount.

Either one looks like they need an Abrams Tank under them.

That was option #00103B9T when ordering. Neither one could afford it.
