I actually got a little bit of garden cleanup accomplished between pictures. as is customary I send these downsampled to conserve bandwidth since I have to pay for it... :-( the wings are about the size of my thumbnail when closed.

Canon 70D, EFS 55-250 mm lens, natural light (about 2 P.M.),
Open wing shot: ISO 200, 1/1250-sec at f/6.3, 250 mm.
Profile shot: ISO 100, 1/1250-sec at f/7.1, 163mm.
Both tweaked in Lightroom and gently cropped.
I took some similar shots using my little Olympus TG-3 Tough in macro mode, but the depth of field was more limited.
Might not be strictly 1:1 macro, because the camera has an APS-C sensor, which is about the size of this little critter.
