I am new to UHH and this is my first post to it. I would like to thank all of you for the knowledgeable information you have provided in the past.
I recently downloaded the free Nik Collection at 439,524KB but I can't find the HDR efex app and was wondering if it is included in the download or if it is part of another app.
Thanks

HDR Efex is included, but if you use PSE, HDR Efex is stated as not compatible on the Google Page in the fine print....

I have PS Elements. Someone directed me to information on how to use Nik HDR as stand-alone:

Note that your image must be jpg or tiff; you can't open a raw or psd file directly into it. But it does work!

Nik HDR is the only one of their plug-ins that doesn't open the same and isn't in the list with others. It's probably installed, but you have to look elsewhere to get to it.

Sorry, I don't use HDR and can't remember the process to open it, but if you check on the NIK installation site, it will tell you how and where to open it.

FYI: In Lightroom the HDR EFEX is installed as an EXPORT plugin. HOWEVER, it can be installed as an external editor manually so it shows up in the "EDIT IN" dialog of plugins.

Just to add slightly to what Don said, from Lightroom, you would typically access NIK HDR EFEX with the command File/Export With Preset/HDR EFEX Pro 2.

In Lightroom the HDR program is under export with presets.

Thanks for info on how to find the HDR plugin of the Nik software. I do have another question. When I installed Nik on Lightroom and Photoshop CC, Nik would immediately open each time I opened the program. I changed the settings so that would not happen anymore but for the time being I think I want it back. Any ideas on how to change the settings on the opening page if it doesn't open any more??? I only set the individual plug-ins anymore.

In Photoshop CS6 it can be found under File>Automate

Thank you all for replying to my post. I should have mentioned in my original post that I am using PSE13. As some of you have mentioned, Nik HDR was downloaded as a stand alone app and I found it in my program files.
Thanks again, Jim

Thanks for posting this information Linda. I was just about to research if it was possible to use it as a stand alone.
