First flower shots of the year...

Haven't been posting much recently, just waiting for Spring to arrive properly. On Saturday I was shooting photos for the church Easter-egg hunt, and while waiting for the hordes of kids to come invade the field, I noticed that the flowers there had bloomed. The ones here - half a mile away - have barely shown themselves above the dirt!
This was my first outing with my white lens, and I had to lean over a wire fence to get them. The backgrounds are not good - this is a narrow bed between a kerbstone and a wire fence. No matter what I did, I had a distracting background. So, with some judicious cropping, and a quick trip through the Nik tools, here we go...
All look great to me, Phil, and so glad you're back!

Thanks! I haven't been posting, but I do check the forum every morning. I just don't often reply to posts unless there is something specific.

Phil, looks like to me you did get a pretty background. Love the colors and job you did in PP.

Beautiful, springy shots, Phil! Our church had 80 kids show up for the Easter egg hunt!
