Two things:
1. Title....."From the earth"
2. Ignore anyone who declares themselves the arbiter of art. As we all know, ART is personal, varied, colored by experience, etc., and to think any art would please everyone is just nuts. Some hate Dali, Picasso, and love Dutch masters (some love both). Now, if someone wants to argue/bitch about technical photography, that's different because it's measurable.

Yet, sadly, art is still identified via a matter of taste.
I would disagree that a crucifix in urine is art, as a specific example, but there are those out there that like it, call it art, and pay for it!
Spend some time at practically any modern art exhibit and you will find an unbelievable amount of examples of "art" that has no solid basis in form, function, etc.

There have been several negative remarks which is not unusual. I don't think any work of art has never been received negatively ever. What OP has presented are images that convey some message or thought. Do I get it - maybe, maybe not. Art is to evoke emotion, thought, perception at some level. Those who assert these images as undeserving might post some images that are.
