I assume the last shot was for a certain auto insurance company who in 15 minutes can save you hundreds?

Ha ha, thanks for the comments. Being green and in the sun makes you fade gracefully in the sun!

I liked some of the pics, better than others, your perspective was unique in it's own way. Your right, at the shows, get what you can, the best you can.

Thanks Lancer, out of 600 plus pics it was hard knowing what to post as there were so many to choose from and all the posters seem to like different ideas of what they want to see.

Great shots of all the old cars. I love the saying that "true art has 4 wheels" and these show the art part very well. As you can tell I'm a car nut as well and own 5 collector cars in varying stages of restoration or disrepair which ever you prefer. Thanks for sharing your interest with us. I hop you don't mind me putting one image of one of my cars up.

Thanks for the great response. Love your picture, thanks for sharing and anyone is welcome to download and play with any of the shots here OR post some of yours for us all to enjoy.

Just a lovely presentation Ian, as a certifiable car nut, I would have loved to spend hours there taking in such a great offering. I get a kick out of detail shots you provide, back then that was what we could identify each model by. Not so now, everything has a cookie cutter look to them. I will be taking you up on your offer of a cd of the show, I never stop wanting good images of classics. Thank you, sir.

It's about 140 miles but a slow drive @ 31/2 hours. If you haven't been there, you will love MD eastern shore.

Ian, I enjoyed your photos. The images of car parts show the unique difference in the style of each. The old Chevy truck is my favorite of all. Thanks for sharing these. Send our best to tilde.

My fiancee Tilde 531 (Theresa lives in Delma, de and goes over to the coast most weekends. I stay in Salisbury, Md but cant say its a wonderul city as I live on the beach in Florida. Dont like that mush either but Theresa and I are moving into our love nest in the Ozark Mountains, close to Eureka Springs in NW Arkansas probably in early July, so it will be Delaware , collect the UHaul and off!

If you had shot in aperture priority mode and opened up your lens, the background would have been blurred more which would have placed greater emphasis on your subject matter. Enjoyed the pics anyway

These are some of the 630 pics I took on Saturday at the Daytona Beach Car show. Over one thousand exhibits from shiney new Lamborginis to Rolls Royces and one Ugly favorite last year was the Morgan, a British Car similar to the MG but was made on a plywood chassis!
No post processing and some are technically not so good because of the acute and very bright sun (Why is it never overcast when you need it)
All the photographs (especially the tail light stuff is dedicated to the love of my life and photo mentor, Tilde531 (Tail Light Tilde) Regretably She was not with me but that would have made the show even more memorable. If anyone wants a CD with all the ics on email me at igh1066@gmail.com or PM.

Post what you like, if you try to make everyone happy, you'll go goofy.

When it comes to shots of those great old cars and cycles, I'm grateful for any and all posted, whether full view or details -- Thanks! ... also appreciated the good insights about attending and trying to shoot at that kind of event.
