I purchased this lens about a month ago after renting one last fall for a trip to Florida. LOVE IT! Here is a bear cub from the Smoky Mountains a couple of weeks ago with this lens!

FYI...Ken Rockwell gives this lens 5 stars for optics. It is the one non-Nikon lens on my list. I can't afford a Nikon 500mm telephoto!!

Funny you should ask ... Not only do I used the Sigma 150-500mm, but I use it in New Mexico. I spend the winter at Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge as a volunteer as well as photography instructor. I find that lens a delight to use. My normal prints are 13X19 and the images hold up fine. Yes, I like the lens! Enjoy and maybe we'll meet in New Mexico, J. Goffe
