Normally I know which composition I like best, this time I'm not sure. What is your vote? 1,2,3 or none of the above!
I think I know which one I like least, but curious to see how many agree.

All are pleasing images but I'm going with #3. The composition just seems to be more balanced in this one.

I'm partial to Door #3. Better composition from my own personal point of view. ;-)

I sort of like it better, but I don't like the star as well.

Composition - wise: Put me down for #3
You get the sun thru the tree AND you get some neat lines which are not present in the other two.

Thanks, but as others have pointed out the star is a little over done unfortunately!

#1 gets my vote. I like it because more of the evergreen is shown. Looks like you were in a beautiful place for these winter scenes. Thanks for giving us a peak, Photolady.

Thanks so much!

The starburst seems a little over done in #1. But otherwise is good. However, I would still prefer #'s 2 and 3, with #3 slightly preferred.

I like seeing the full view/scene, leading the eye to the mountains in the distance. Very beautiful!

Thanks for such a detailed answer. I wish I could just redo the star in the first & third to be more like #2. Oh well.

#2 for me; the star is too much in the others.

I totally agree, I can go back, but the snow will not be as good now! Too bad it is so hard in the field to tell that sort of thing.

I would pick #3, although the starburst bothers me in all three. It detracts from the beauty of the rest of the scene. Just my opinion.

Number two, hands down. In photo 1 the star in the tree detracts from the overall beauty of the scene. Because of it's brillance it competes with the scene instead of complimenting it. In photo 3 the snow mount in the foreground commands too much of a presence. There is nothing about it in itself that demands so much space in the photo. Everything works in relationship in number two. It is the beauty of the entire scene with elements working harmoniously with one another that appeals to the viewer. It also has a greater sense of dept of feel. Number two is my choice, curious as to which you choose.
