Anyone going up there should plan for a day visit to T.C. to visit me (ok if not me, then the very scenic area). I'll even buy the first round (beer or coffee).

traverse city has a state campground right near the downtown off the water, but I recommend something else out near sleeping bear dunes...A LOT more scenic and much quieter.
