Let's party!
Very cool. We got a lot of sleet and a little snow here in the Piedmont Triad. It disrupted travel and kept the kids from going to school today. Not enough fluffiness to do THAT.
I spent my first five years of life in Michigan, where we had drifts over the tops of the doors sometimes. Dad would jump off the porch roof, dive over the snow drift, grab a shovel, and dig his car out to go to work...
I'm from Michigan, too, Burk. Our house was on an 8' hill, and the driveway was cut down into the hill. Every time we had a decent snow, the driveway was filled with it. By the time we dug it out, we had two mountains of snow on either side.
At first glance, that looked like/reminded me of my dorm room 'fridge from college!
Very cool.😊😊😊
Great picture and idea but I wouldn't want to shovel it. We get 6 inches here and everything shuts down! Schools are still closed and there isn't any snow left on the ground it was 58 degrees yesterday!

Brag! Brag! Brag! Every time it snows a half inch where I live, everyone panics and close everything down.

Same here. The weathercasters go nuts, but then I see pictures of people trying to drive on elevated exchanges or who have gone too fast on the interstates and are on the side of the road or in the median. At least one thing those of us in snow country know....10 or 20 mph will eventually get you there.

I didn't know Dallas got that much snow?

We do from time to time, and quite often the streets get icy...from freezing rain as much as snow. Also, if we do get snow, it may melt and then freeze again as black ice.

Neat - How long did your "ice box" last?
