Thank you about the leading lines, I saw that and was trying to figure out how to best converge the sky and the pier, all while the light was changing so quickly.

Thank you Vicky, I see you are kind of in my neck of the woods. I am near Santa Barbara, in Solvang. My name is Jan.

I really like this shot a lot - composition is good and I like the long exposure.

Thank you very much. Just trying my hand at landscape. I find it very relaxing. Different for me as I shoot most people (monks to be exact and ceremonies). I am on the staff as a photographer and writer for a Buddhist sect in Japan.

We pass the Gaviota area every time we drive down 101 (prefer it over I-5) to see our daughter in San Diego. Now I know what we've been missing. Next time we should make a slight detour to get some shots.

Love it! I like the way the lines from the rock follow one of the fushia lines in the sky the "X" in the sky mimics the cross-bars of the strut supports.

Thank you very much. I could not believe how intense the colors were. There were several people down there that evening, all grabbing cameras and iPhones to try and capture it. It had just rained.
