That is nice Lois! I don't think Sammy would do anything to someone bothering me. He might come over a lick me on the ground.:) Sammy is getting stiff front legs. A calcium build up in his joints. They can't do anything about it.:( But his back is really load and most folks will not come through the gate.:)

Hi Doc. I have always had a dog. The first few were Beagles and they helped me hunt to eat when I lived in the water tower I lived in. And after being in Nam for 7 years I brought one home. And had one ever sense. I am blessed to have had everyone in my life!

Yes that is always hard Bob!! I have had to do that to many times.:( I think Samy will be my last pup. Janny and I want to travel here soon and it wouldn't be fair to take one along.

I rescued a Neuf 18 months ago. He just turned 7 yesterday. Never had a sweeter dog. Knew they were black, black & white( Landseer) but never realized they could also be grey or BROWN. My guy is quite small, 105lbs., and now that he's healthy, just anabsolutely delightful big brown teddy bear. Yes, his name is Bear.

I had a male beagle that loved to lay on my everyday run around shoes. The shoes should have been thrown out years ago. I guess he like the scent of me on the shoes. I also had a female beagle that would lick my feet all the time. Both dogs loved me so much. The crazy thing is my ex had the female beagle 2 years before I met her. To this day she says the dog became mine. And I used to be deathly afraid of dogs before I met her. Dogs are very faithful & loving. More than people. They know when you're sick mentally or physically.

Yes they are a great breed! They are called the gentle giants! This is my second one. I was looking at the brown puppies and Sammy came over and laid down by me and would not move. And if I walked over to look at another one he was right by my side. He went home with me. And he still lays by my side!:)
