It may have gotten here about 50 years late , but it looks like the age of the JETSONS are finally upon us !
I remember predictions thought we'd travel like this sometime in the 1970's , but hey just maybe we could enjoy this kind of travel in the near future !
Only 2 problems come to mind , price tag and computer controlled flight . I'm a stick and rudder guy , and if I can't fly it , I walk away from it ! lol
The flying car , perhaps a very old concept ready to take off ?

Gotta admit, never seen anything like that. Maybe the wife will get me one for Christmas.

CGI!!! The amount of airspeed needed to keep that weight airborn with those wings would be faster than most would be able to handle. Also that negative dihedral angle would be a challenge at best.

Yeah, eagles may soar, but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines, or ducted fans.

I think I'll add one to my list as well. Course I may be short a couple of million.

The way people drive their cars now what the hell I'd take one, ya can't live forever anyway so I wonder if there is an on board restroom for my passengers use while I drive/fly this thing? What kind of restraint system does it have? Would need something secure and pilot operated so my passengers don't bail out early on me.

The trunk space is limited and the seating is too tight. I'll wait until the new version comes out. Hopefully it'll have a hover mode to make changing a tire easier. Minor things but I'm picky.

I'm with you !!
There is no room for my camera gear (if I take my wife along).

While you're wishing a James Bond type ejection seat would be good for those back seat drivers. Parachute optional.

I'm not a pilot, but...
The negative dihedral on that thing scares me.
The wings look pretty small to carry the weight of a 300HP engine, generator, A/C, and batteries to fly that thing in case of engine failure, at 200 MPH. (And, if there's an engine failure, and you have to land NOW, you're stuck. Hopefully, you're not over water if this happens.)
If this does take off (so to speak), I would hate to see what traffic control would entail.

A parachute, no option really as it would be a convenient addition to a seat that most likely would not function properly anyway. All I would need is ear plugs so the crash would at least be quiet while I sleep.

It would be necessary to have a driver's license and a pilot's license.

I remember a TV program in the 1950s that had something similar. I believe Bob Cummings was the star. The car could be changed to an airplane with wings.

"traffic Control" ! Three quarters of the drivers here in "Pennsytucky" do not stop for Red Lights, Stop signs, nor Yield Signs. Imagine them in a three dimensional space. You could probably start a very successful business cleaning up all of the debris from all of the airborne accidents.

The prospect of people flying around in these is scary. And we think drones are a problem.
