Last Speptember my wife and I went to the Quad Cities in Western Illinois for their annual balloon festival to benefit their local food pantry. These are just some of the shots we took there. There has been no PP done on any of them. We hope you enjoy them!!

FANTASTIC all of them....I have always wanted to attend the big balloon feast in Albuquerque....still on my to do list....thanks for sharing.

Great Shots!!! They contrast so well against the sky.... Blue is my favourite colour so I'm a little biased.

Find a fest in your area and go there. They usually have rides in a tethered balloon that only gets about 30-50 feet off the ground. The balloon is tethered to a vehicle so you are not going to go very high. This will help you get your over your fear of height.

Nice shots. Number 1 and 4 are my favorites. I attended a balloon race just yesterday morning. I haven't had time to load them yet. Good Job.

Great photos. It is amazing how noisy those things are on the ground!! Here in Ct. they have several ballooon festivals.

May I ask what lens and settings you used? I will be going to beach in June and they will have hot air balloons and I want to take pics but I am still learning about what is best film speed F-stop etc to set the camera on for best pics. I have a canon 50d which I have been told is good but still learning.
